How are things?
I was thinking of how you people are copng with secondary school life.
What were or are the major adjustments you faced or are still facing?
Anything you found interesting or perplexing?
How are the El and Lit lessons ?
I was glad I got the opportunity to teach all of you last year.
There were problems aplenty, but they helped me learn about myself and teaching and learning and especially about you all.

I like the el and lit lessons.. cos i like the tr. =)shes like.. super nice and shes quite young and... yeah. in short shes nice. and a gd tr too. but i dun realli like e el lessons.. lit's nicer.if i can understand whats going on. and i do understand.i mean, after she explains. like for this poem by Slyvia Plath (i dunno how to spell it) titled 'The Mirror'. i sorta got it but didnt get it u know? and in a way lit is kinda better? interestinger? than eng cos like theres no fixed ans., its jus like what u think and how to present it.. yah. i hope. tt was the impression tt i got.
ps: shes super pretty too ;).
oh and i really really kinda miss having ms ho as our sci tr cos the current one is.. uhm.. two words.. BORING and TALL. boring like really really boring. his voice is like really one straight line. and everyone is half asleep in sci class. unlike in ms ho's class.
and i really really kinda miss mrs tong as maths tr too.. cos our maths tr is like going super fast and i am like in one big fat blur and we have a test like next week and i am SO screwed.
other than maths and science lessons are more or less ok..and im sleeping at 10.30-11 pm everyday. and its.. feb 16. my tr says she sleeps at 12 everyday. woah.
ppps:my current fav. poem is either 'Five Ways to Kill a Man' or 'I Saw a Jolly Hunter'. under the satire section of our lit bk. i like satire.=)
oh, and, mr grosse, u cn still give us quotes u noe...<*hint hint*> if u got time larhz, tt is. and um u can chuck the whole term's ones together. =)
Yeah, I'm in the same class as Shiying and yeah, our English and Lit teacher rocks! She is really good at Lit and you can tell that she's very passionate about the subject. So far, I love "Five ways to kill a man"-kudos to Shiying for introducing it and "Tyger" which has been my fave poem for three years since my dad first introduced it to me. My favourite subjects so far have been, no surprise here, speech and drama and Literature. My CCA is choir and it's stressful but I'm enjoying it alot. I've also qualified for the Act Three International production which is going to be a play in conjunction with the gov about the issue of "identity". It's going to be so fun! Thanks Mr. G for inroducing us to the wonders of Lit, we've learnt so much more than the class knows(rmb alliteration and onomatopoeia?). So far, secondary school life has been a mix of stress and lotslotslots of fun. I definitely won't ever forget my wonderful times at Rosyth though. Thankks to all Rosyth teachers and pupils =P

my el lessons r ALMOST like urs. but my teacher keeps doing either compo, compre or ldrship articles. ldrship articles r articles which teach us principals of life and i think its pretty meaningful! no quotes though. =( and the teacher is young too! 26. Hmm.
and my lit lessons varies. sumtimes it's boring and sumtimes its very interesting. charlie gordon really is very stupid, isnt he? and shi ying we r now doing "the lottery", what abt all of you? n my lit teacher is also young. iSpark(GEP) really is full of young teachers, isnt it?
generally i still quite like my eng and lit lessons. and i only got B3 for eng n B4 for lit! i was supposed to get a C5 for eng until a test pulled it up. yay!
and i hope i was selected to be a councillor. PLS!!! =D

ooh btw ive taken the maths test which i said earlier that im gonna be so screwed in and it didnt turn out so bad..heh. ;) BUT i have a feeling i made alotta careless mistakes.. whoops.. :S
oh yeah.. the P5's (current P6's) not enthu one!!! tey dun sing the CNY songs the las time we went!!! haiz.. still rememeber previous yrs we were all singing it frm the time we were dismissed frm the classrm on the sixth flr, right down the staircase frm 6th flr to the 1st flr. heheh... so fun..haiz.. hu lao shi mus feel so xian cos they not fun one.. =S
Actually, Charlie Gordon's quite smart. Since he has an IQ of 68, he can't qualify for MINDS. heheh.
then lets have an operation to shrink his IQ! YAY.

yeah i noe.. i gotta guy frm me tuition centre tts in NUSH and he says..the maths is super hard. fullstop. :) but look at it this way- when u get to jc ure gonna be how much more proer than me...heh..
anw, frankie. you know why we sleep? one. mr segarra talks s-u-p-e-r slowly. you shld see the perfectness of my notes lor. two. we just finished nature of science. which is preety much useless. three. we are doing chemistry now which shld be more interesting than nature of science, but u know what we are learning?? Matter, its three states,how the particles are packed together(the force of attraction and all that crappo). which, thanks to ms ho, we know it all. AND it was supposed to be tested for PSLE, for goodness sake. so everyone is like half dozing half listening. cos theres some extra stuff but we all know abt 9/10ths of the stuff.

I'm in RI, and it seriously rox! Anyway, the houses in RI are Morrison(Blue), Bayley(Yellow), Moor(Red), Buckley(Green) and Hullett(Black). I'm in Moor, and we got second in house championships. Bayley won. Yellow is such a gay colour...:x

anyway, our lit + el tr is really young, really pretty, and really good at lit.
i miss HLS the most!!!! tell her that.. coz our cl tr sux like hell. boring, and don't know how to teach the impt stuff. humph. almost failing my chinese now.
most of our teachers are pretty nice, but very different from everybdy at rosyth. maybe the only obvious improvement is Mr. wolfe for geog. he's alittle like you, mr. g, very well-travelled/read, makes for interesting lessons and stuff. but that doesn't mean ek was bad tho. hee.
you should all come to RG to teach!!!!! argh.
well, if you read our blogs...friendships are breaking up, people are stressed out...transition is just not as smooth as we thought it would be.
but our seniors are SUPER SUPER REALLY REALLY NICE AND FABULOUS. oh lala. heh. love my seniors.

no larhz karen... zheng lao shi is okay lor...i mean she wont teach the sheng zi in the textbk what.. uh dur.. shell do other stuff and we're SUPPOSED to learn the stuff in the textbk by ourselves, uh dur...so if thats what u mean by 'impt stuff', then...i haf a feeling u got the wrong idea.
n if u do on ur knees, frankie, ur knees will HURT. i mean, my knees hurt. but that isnt the worst thing, its the sit ups. cos right, its like we all can do the pushups but then we do on concrete, so, i keep getting backaches. sorta. yeah.
oh. i couldnt finish my history test. i didnt finish the structured essay thingy. no time..sheesh. and i had nothing to write anyway... and what i was writing was crap. haiz. and i hope, i hope, i hope, i did ok for the maths thingy. :S

we jus had like our first summative lit test today. i am..i dunno lah. not dead, i tink i can get like 17/25? cos for the like formative, i got 19/25. buddan for this one i like...kinda misinterpreted thw poem. the speaker had 2 siblings and one died, and i thought the speaker had only 1 sibling and that one died. bloody....
andrew whats ur cca? NPCC land?? no such thing....oh did u go for the affirmation thingy? so crap... our seniors were..looking irritated at all the stuff they were doing.
im taking french now, btw. and erh. you know what your name means, MR. G?
Among all the subjects at RGS, I prefer Aesthetics and Computer Studies, occasionally Chemistry. Because they all involve hands-on work. I won't fall asleep if I'm engaged in an activity.
I'm don't really like EL and Lit lessons. I don't know why. History and Geography didn't appeal to me at first, but now I think they're OK. Malay is...sometimes boring, sometimes fun when it comes to composition.
Oh, and I take Chinese as my third language. Struggling with it. >< Summative Assessment for Chinese is on Tuesday, but it only involves hanyu pinyin and not the characters.
And I'm in the same class as Shi Ying and Liz. ^^
